CONTRAST THERAPY
There is accumulating evidence on the positive effects of cold therapy. Everything from reaping the benefits of better sleep, recovering faster from exercise, reducing stress levels, increasing energy, heightened focus and determination, to a better tolerance to cold! When combining this with contrast therapy, like sauna, you are improving your blood circulation, clearing your body of toxic overload and lactic acid, increasing your fatigue resistance and energy levels, reducing muscle soreness, inflammation, lowering your risk for Alzheimer's and dementia, and so much more!. Contrast therapy is when you are alternating between high heat and cold water. It is important to do so in this order though. It is safer when you hit the sauna first, for about 20 min and then entering the cold water for 1-2 min, and then moving back into the sauna... Always end your session with cold water. When entering the cold first you can cause dizziness and big drops in blood pressure. Are you ready to take the plunge?
